CHICAGO — A resident is suing Glencrest Healthcare and Rehabilitation Centre Ltd., claiming permanent injuries after a fall.

Juan Romero filed a complaint on Aug. 10 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the rehabilitation and care facility breached the professional standard of care and treatment.

The plaintiff alleges he was admitted to defendant's facility on Touhy Avenue in Chicago in August 2016 to recover from a bowel surgery, according to the complaint. He allegedly fell and sustained injuries that made his condition worse.

The injuries required him to undergo additional procedures, affecting his rehabilitation, according to the complaint. He has experience, pain, disability and disfigurement, according to the lawsuit.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in an amount greater than $50,000, costs of suit, and other relief as deemed just. He is represented by Victor P. Henderson and Breanna N. Kantor of Henderson Parks LLC in Chicago.
