CHICAGO — A law firm is suing Conceivex Inc, a medical device company, citing an alleged overdue account that totals more than a half-million dollars.
Barnes & Thornburg filed a complaint on Aug. 17 in Cook County Circuit Court against Conceivex, alleging the medical device company breached its contract by failing to pay for services as agreed.
The plaintiff alleges that between Feb. 3, 2016, and Jan. 3, 2018, Barnes & Thornburg provided legal services to the defendant, which included representing Conceivex in two lawsuits.
The lawsuit alleges Conceivex Inc has failed to pay the outstanding invoices due totaling $555,302. Defendant's last payment was received in January, the lawsuit says.
The plaintiff seeks an amount not less than $555,302, plus interest at the highest rate. The plaintiff further seeks the costs of suit, attorneys' fees, and court costs. They are represented by attorney Richard Grossman, of Chicago.
