Consumers sue GM Goldman & Associates, claiming intrusive and unwanted calls

CHICAGO — A group of consumers have accused insurance agency GM Goldman & Associates Inc., of improperly placing numerous sales calls to people whose numbers were listed on the Do Not Call registry.

Daniel Chertok filed a complaint on on his own behalf and on behalf of all others similarly situated on Aug. 24 in Cook County Circuit Court against GM Goldman & Associates Inc,. alleging the company placed numerous solicitation calls while utilizing an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice, allegedly in violation of the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

Consumers allege they receive the calls despite being listed in the DNC Registry.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury, class action certification, judgment against the defendant, actual and statutory damages, attorney fees and costs, and other relief.
