CHICAGO — A widow is suing Windsor Estates Nursing and Rehabilitation alleging negligence in injuries suffered by her husband before his death in 2016.

Carol Beymer filed a complaint on Sept. 4 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging while Robert Beymer was a resident of defendant's nursing care facility in Country Club Hills, he allegedly fell out of his wheelchair and struck his head. He also allegedly suffered lacerations, which required sutures and hospitalization.

Carol Beymer, as the administrator of his estate, claims the injuries led to the deterioration of his physical and mental condition and contributed to his death in November 2016.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for more than $50,000. She is represented by Tiffany E. Alberty of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates PC in Chicago.
