Resident sues Rosewood Care Center after allegedly falling in his room

CHICAGO — Frank Senk, a nursing home resident, filed a complaint on Sept. 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against Rosewood Care Center of Inverness for an alleged violation of the Nursing Home Care Act.

According to the complaint, on April 16,  Senk allegedly fell in his room, injuring his hip and cutting his forehead. Plaintiff claims the nursing home allegedly was aware he was at risk for falls and needed supervision when walking.

Since the fall he allegedly has undergone several medical procedures at the Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Administration Hospital to treat his forehead and left hip. 

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages greater than $50,000, as well as attorney fees, costs and other relief. He is represented by Craig M. Sandberg of Sandberg Law Office PC in Deerfield.
