CHICAGO — A disabled woman is suing two other people, saying they defamed her in Facebook posts.

Ann C. LaFreniere filed a complaint on Sept. 11 in Cook County Circuit Court against defendants Sharon Lewis and Andre Taylor alleging she suffered great emotional and physical distress and damage to her reputation, as a result of being publicly humiliated by the defendants through mentions of her name on their Facebook posts. The plaintiff asserts the posts deterred various individuals from associating with her and accused her of felonies, including eavesdropping and cyber stalking.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for compensatory and punitive damages, declaratory relief, attorneys' fees, costs incurred, and other relief in law. She is represented by Adolfo Mondragon of Mondragon Law Group LLC in Chicago.
