CHICAGO – An estate administrator alleges a male relative developed multiple pressure ulcers while under the care of two nursing facilities.

Toccara Stringfellow, as independent administrator of the estate of James Stringfellow, filed a complaint on Sept. 27 in Cook County Circuit Court against Glenshire Nursing & Rehab Center; and Oak Lawn Respiratory & Rehab, alleging, in 2014,  while a resident at the facility, Stringfellow allegedly developed multiple pressure ulcers, all of which worsened in condition. The suit states he died June 12.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to oversee the comprehensive assessment of Stringfellow's needs and health condition and failed to implement an up-to-date resident care plan based upon the comprehensive assessment.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensation of more than $50,000. She is represented by David M. Resis of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates, PC in Chicago.
