CHICAGO – A personal representative is seeking damages from a Cook County nursing facility over its alleged care of a resident.
Leonard McGruder, as personal representative of Verna McGruder, filed a complaint on Oct. 1 in Cook County Circuit Court against Princeton Rehab & HCC; The Alden Group LTD, and affiliated defendants, alleging, while in the defendants' care in June 2017, Verna McGruder was hospitalized and found to have multiple ulcers, sepsis and other ailments. The suit also states she was hospitalized at later dates and other medical issues were discovered.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an amount of more than $50,000, plus attorney fees and costs, as provided for by statute, and other relief. He is represented by attorneyJames C. Ferrell in Houston.
