CHICAGO – Seven individuals allege the city of Harvey agreed to compensate them for harm caused by it, but the city failed to make the agreed payments.

Dominique Burks, Alice Henderson, Rayshawnna Fletcher, Tina Mourer, Kyana Miles, Rikhea Shirley and Ashley Wilson filed a complaint on Oct. 2 in Cook County Circuit Court against the city of Harvey alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 11, 2015, plaintiffs entered into a settlement agreement and contract with defendant and agreed to give up any right to sue for injuries in exchange for compensation for the harm caused. The lawsuit does not specify what harm the city of Harvey allegedly caused the plaintiffs.

The plaintiffs seek judgment for all damages plus interest owed. They are represented by Yao O. Dinizulu of Dinizulu Law Group LTD in Chicago.
