CHICAGO – A woman alleges a Chicago hospital failed to prevent her mother from falling.
Belinda Bryant, as independent administrator to collect of the estate of Lottie Bryant, filed a complaint on Oct. 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against Advocate Trinity Hospital and two nurses citing the Illinois Survival Act.
According to the complaint, between Oct. 10-Oct. 18, 2016, Lottie Bryant was treated at Advocate Trinity Hospital and was at high risk for falls. The suit states on Oct. 14, 2016, she fell twice while under the defendants' care and sustained a hip fracture.
The plaintiff seeks judgment of more than $50,000. She is represented by Michael F. Bonamarte and Daniel A. Goldfaden of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
