Tressler LLP issued the following announcement on Oct. 18.

Tressler is proud to announce that Andrea J. Davidson has been selected as an Emerging Lawyer in the areas of Personal Injury Defense Law and Toxic Torts Defense Law. Andrea is an associate attorney in Tressler's Chicago office.

Emerging Lawyers are nominated and selected by their peers to be among the top lawyers under the age of 40 nationwide. Less than 2% of all lawyers licensed in each state have received the distinction of Emerging Lawyer.

"I’m excited to receive this recognition and honored by the respect of my peers," said Andrea Davidson.

Andrea joined Tressler in January 2018 and has since helped to develop the Healthcare Practice Group. Andrea focuses her practice on complex litigation matters, including toxic torts and general liability cases. She has been involved in all phases of the litigation process, including motion practice with oral argument, propounding and responding to discovery requests, taking and defending discovery depositions, settlement conferences and trial preparation.

Andrea previously worked at HeplerBroom where her practice focus was complex litigation involving product liability and premises liability claims. She represented corporations in Cook County, the Northern District of Illinois, and the Central District of Illinois. Andrea’s prior experience as a Missouri State Public Defender included representing indigent clients facing misdemeanors, probation revocations, and serious felonies. She handled over 450 cases during her tenure. She was first-chair for six jury trials, resulting in only one verdict of guilty as charged. Andrea also represented juveniles through all stages of litigation, including trial. She served as mentor and supervisory second-chair to fellow attorneys and interns.
