CHICAGO – A patron of a Chicago spa alleges her legs were severely burned during a laser hair removal treatment.

Natalie Rubino filed a complaint on Oct. 11 in Cook County Circuit Court against Amber Gold Spa Inc., Amber Gold Co., and three women associated with the spa, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges on Nov. 29, 2016, she visited defendants' spa facility located in the 1000 block of N. Rush St., Chicago, for laser hair removal procedures on her legs. She alleges she sustained severe burns as a result of the negligence of the defendants in the proper control and calibration of the equipment used.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for an amount in excess of the jurisdictional limitations of the court, additional amounts that the court deem proper and costs of suit. She is represented by Peter Vlantis of Vlantis Law LLC in Chicago.
