CHICAGO – A patient of an Illinois physician is seeking damages from the doctor over allegations he failed to perform appropriate testing and instead put him in chemotherapy.

Miguel Aboytes filed a complaint on Oct. 30 in Cook County Circuit Court against physician Jeffrey Cilley, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 4, 2016, he went to the defendant for evaluation of abnormal lab work results and renal insufficiency and was monitored by him through January 2017.

The suit states the defendant aggressively treated plaintiff with chemotherapy despite the absence of indications for multiple myeloma, causing plaintiff to suffer injuries in the personal and pecuniary nature.

The plaintiff holds Cilley responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to perform appropriate testing to ensure the correct diagnosis and exposed plaintiff to toxic chemotherapy agents despite multiple adverse reactions.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant of more than $50,000. He is represented by Susan E. Loggans of Susan E. Loggans & Associates PC in Chicago.
