Associates for Oral, Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery patient alleges injection caused nerve injury

CHICAGO – A patient alleges two dentists caused nerve injury when they injected her gums with a numbing agent during a procedure.

Vicki Sellas filed a complaint on Nov. 7 in Cook County Circuit Court against dentists Mark A. Spinazze and Dennis J. Spinazze; and Associates for Oral, Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery LTD alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 21, 2016, Sellas alleges she sustained severe permanent injuries, including trigeminal neuralgi while in the defendants' care.

The plaintiff seeks judgment of more than $50,000 and costs of suit. She is represented by Emilio E. Machado and Vicki Sellas of Rubin Machado & Rosenblum LTD in Chicago.
