Son alleges Cambridge Nursing & Rehab Center did not provide appropriate care to father

CHICAGO – The son of a former resident of a Skokie nursing home alleges the facility failed to provide adequate care to his father.

Sargon Oshana, independent administrator of the estate of Kham Oshana, filed a complaint on Nov. 6 in Cook County Circuit Court against Cambridge Nursing & Rehab Center and others, alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, Kham Oshana was a resident of Cambridge Nursing & Rehab Center from July 28, 2016, to July 22, 2017. The suit states while he was under the care of the defendants, he developed areas of skin breakdown, infected wounds and aspiration pneumonia, all of which contributed to his death in September 2017. 

The plaintiff seeks an amount of more than $50,000, attorney fees and costs. He is represented by Katherine M. Moorhouse of Taxman, Pollock, Murray & Bekkerman in Chicago.
