McGuireWoods elected 17 new partners effective Jan. 1, 2019. The new class spans eight of the firm’s offices and a dozen litigation and corporate practice areas.

Abrams (Products, Environmental & Mass Torts Litigation, Richmond) defends clients in product liability, consumer class action, environmental and commercial litigation involving product labeling, design and manufacture and in environmental issues affecting classes of property owners and residents.
Heather Welch Arbogast (M&A and Corporate Transactions, Baltimore) focuses on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and energy transactions. She advises clients on corporate governance issues, including commercial contracts and energy, regulatory and compliance matters.
Locke Beatty (Business & Securities Litigation, Charlotte) advises financial institutions on mortgage-related class action and other litigation and defends claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Truth in Lending Act, and other consumer protection statutes.
