Clark Hill has been recently recognized by the 17th Annual M&A Advisor Awards in the category of Industrials Deal of The Year ($50MM-$100MM) for the Acquisition of Wellman Dynamics Corporation by TCTM Financial, of which Mark J. Steger was Special Environmental Counsel to the Debtor, Wellman Dynamics Corporation. Steger provided environmental assistance for the transaction and negotiated an environmental settlement agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice and three other state and federal agencies.
The 17th Annual M&A Advisor Awards are a part of the 2018 M&A Advisor Summit, which was held in New York City on November 6, 2018. The M&A Advisor Awards recognizes the top M&A deals, firms and professionals across the country.
Mark J. Steger is Senior Counsel in Clark Hill’s Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Practice Group. Steger represents clients in environmental compliance, transactional and litigation matters assisting them navigate through the maze of environmental laws and regulations to solve their environmental issues. He has extensive expertise in counseling, permitting and rulemaking and regularly defends clients in enforcement actions under numerous environmental laws. He also has extensive experience in working with clients on environmental due diligence and Superfund matters.
