Tressler LLP is proud to welcome Christine Walczak as a new associate in our Chicago office.
Christine is a member of Tressler’s Local Government Practice Group. She counsels municipalities, park districts, school districts and other governmental entities on various matters, including: legislative policy, zoning and land use, real estate transactions, licensing, personnel policies and compliance with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Open Meetings Act (OMA). She has experience drafting and negotiating real estate contracts, leases, permits, licenses, vendor contracts, easements and intergovernmental agreements. Christine also has experience counseling private corporations in general corporate matters, contract review and negotiations.
“I am thrilled to join Tressler LLP’s Local Government Practice Group,” said Christine Walczak. “The breadth of the Group’s municipal law experience coupled with its collaborative approach makes Tressler the perfect platform for me to utilize my skills and expand my municipal career.”
Prior to joining Tressler, Christine was an associate with the firm Sosin, Arnold & Schoenbeck, Ltd. where she primarily worked with the Village of Crestwood, Illinois, serving as its Assistant General Counsel, FOIA Officer and OMA Officer.
Christine was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Illinois Super Lawyers for 2018 and 2019. She received a B.A. from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law.
