CHICAGO – A Virginia resident alleges a service cart on a flight caused knee injuries.

Naa-Oboshie Alexander-Reindorf filed a complaint on Nov. 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against United Airlines alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 21, 2016, the plaintiff was a passenger on United Flight UA 2025 from Denver to San Jose, Calif. The suit states a service cart struck the plaintiff in the knee during the flight and caused injury.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to maintain control of the service cart during turbulence, failed to have sufficient crew members operating the service cart to avoid injury to plaintiff, and failed to warn plaintiff of risk of injury.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for an amount in excess of the minimum jurisdiction amount of the court, plus costs and other amounts. The plaintiff is represented by Floyd A. Wisner and Alexandra M. Wisner of Wisner Law Firm PC in Geneva.
