CHICAGO – The son of a deceased Cook County man is seeking damages from two physicians and a health care center over the treatment of his father's cancer.

Scott Ginsberg, as independent administrator of the estate of William Ginsberg, filed a complaint on Nov. 19 in Cook County Circuit Court against physicians Donatus Siliunas and Andrew Bennett, and Alexian Brothers Medical Center, alleging negligence and wrongful death.

According to the complaint, between Feb. 26-May 27, 2015, defendants Siliunas and Bennett read and interpreted a CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis performed upon Ginsberg, at defendant ABMC.

On Jan. 12, 2017, the suit states a CT scan revealed a large mass diagnosed as sarcoma. The suit states Ginsberg died Feb. 1, 2017.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to properly interpret the CT film of Feb. 26, 2015, failed to recommend repeat imaging and failed to make recommendations for follow-up.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages in an amount in excess of the jurisdictional amount of the court. He is represented by John G. Kelly of Kelly & Ignoffo Law Group PC in Chicago.
