Tressler LLP is happy to welcome Dibora Berhanu as a new associate in Tressler’s Chicago office.
Dibora Berhanu is an associate in the Insurance Practice Group. She focuses her practice in the area of insurance coverage analysis. Dibora has worked on a variety of legal matters related to contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duties, employment retaliation claims, whistle blower claims and probate cases. She also has experience drafting corporate organizational documents, employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, and services agreements.
“I am very excited to join Tressler and work alongside an amazing team of attorneys and continue to build my legal skills,” said Dibora Berhanu.
Prior to joining Tressler, Dibora worked at the Department of Labor, Office of Foreign Labor Certification where she reviewed applications for temporary work visas, specifically under the H-2B visa program.
While in law school, Dibora was on the Dean’s List, the Review of Intellectual Property Law Journal, and competed in the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition. She served as the Vice President of the Black Law Students’ Association and a Supervisor for the Academic Enhancement Program, a minority law student retention program. Dibora was a member of the Business Enterprise Law Clinic, a business transactions clinic at John Marshall dedicated to serving business owners from underserved communities. She also was a Legal Intern at Accenture, LLP and Law Clerk at Ruff, Freud, Breems and Nelson, Ltd. She received a B.A. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School.
