Thompson Coburn welcomes Los Angeles partner Jennifer Post to the Firm’s Management Committee.
A member of the Firm’s Corporate and Securities Group, Jennifer’s practice encompasses all areas of general corporate, securities and finance law, including formation activities, private placements of equity and debt securities and mergers and acquisitions. Jennifer advises clients on capital raising, licensing and distribution, equity compensation, joint ventures and strategic partnerships.
Jennifer also represents investment entities in their formation, fundraising efforts, governance and maintenance, as well as transactions with emerging companies. Jennifer has a unique niche representing private technology lenders in secured transactions involving alternative asset classes.
Applying her passion for innovation, Jennifer founded Thompson Coburn’s Blockchain and Digital Currency practice group, where she leads a group of attorneys with diverse skillsets to serve clients in this transformative industry.
Jennifer was named one of the 500 Most Influential People in Los Angeles in 2018 by the Los Angeles Business Journal. She also has been honored as one of Los Angeles’ Most Influential Minority Lawyers and Most Influential Women Lawyers.
A prolific speaker, Jennifer has presented at Digital Hollywood, the Pebble Beach Blockchain Innovation Summit, Pincus Professional Education, the Beverly Hills Bar Association and the American Bar Association, among others.
Jennifer serves on the Los Angeles Planning Board of StartOut, an organization dedicated to connecting and educating LGBT entrepreneurs to empower great leaders and businesses. She also serves as a board member for the ONE Archives Foundation, the largest repository of LGBTQ materials in the world. Additionally, Jennifer hosts regular meetings in Thompson Coburn’s Los Angeles office for Gaingels, an organization dedicated to connecting a global network of LGBT/ally investors to LGBT-led technology companies. Jennifer also leads the West Hollywood chapter of ProVisors.
Jennifer received her B.A. cum laude with High Honors, from Brandeis University. She graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School.
