CHICAGO – Two people allege they were injured when a tow truck entered into their lane of travel on an interstate in Addison.
Elizabeth Kuruda and Paul Nastali filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court against Rokaitis Industries Inc. and a driver, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on Oct. 30, 2017, Kuruda and Nastali were traveling along Interstate 355 near the exit to U.S. Route 20 in Addison when the tow truck owned by Rokaitis struck the plaintiffs' vehicle. As a result of the accident, both plaintiffs allege they suffered bodily injuries to their necks, shoulders, stomachs and chest walls.
The plaintiffs allege the defendants failed to maintain a good and sufficient lookout for other traffic, failed to avoid a collision, failed to warn plaintiffs of an impending collision and failed to timely apply brakes.
The plaintiffs seek judgment against defendants for more than $50,000 plus costs of suit. They are represented by Adam Goodman of Goodman Tovrov Hardy & Johnson LLC in Chicago and Jack E. Grewer Jr. of Grewer Law Group PC in Yorkville.
