CHICAGO – A Cook County man alleges he required a second surgery because physicians failed to properly place a medical device during a previous surgery.
Charles Solomon filed a complaint on Dec. 17 in Cook County Circuit Court against physicians Ervin Kocjancic.; Christopher Vendryes; and Laurel Sofer, alleging medical negligence.
According to the complaint, on Dec. 19, 2014, Solomon was treated by defendants for surgical robotic insertion of a device to treat incontinence.
However, plaintiff claims his device was improperly positioned and he needed a second surgery.
The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to properly monitor him post-operation.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs of the matter, and for that relief deemed appropriate by the court. He is represented by attorney Michael C. Goode in Chicago.
