Worker alleges unclean floor at Chicago worksite caused him to fall from ladder

CHICAGO – A worker alleges he fell off a ladder and was injured because of the dangerous condition of the floor at a Chicago worksite.

Richard Lash filed a complaint on Dec. 27 in Cook County Circuit Court against Chicago Upscale Detail Auto Spa alleging premises liability and breach of duty.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 26, 2017, while the plaintiff was performing his duties as an independent contractor in the demolition, construction, repairs and remodeling of Chicago Upscale Detail Auto Spa in Chicago, he alleges he fell off a ladder that had become unstable allegedly because of unclean and dangerous condition of the floor.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to supervise the construction site and failed or refused to remove or clean the unsafe condition present.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant of more than $50,000, plus costs of action. He is represented by Adam Schiefelbein of Jacobson & Schiefelbein LLC in Chicago.
