CHICAGO – A mother alleges a doctor and medical facility in Cook County failed to diagnose a mass in her minor child's brain.

Gia Carr filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in Cook County Circuit Court against Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation and physician Alok I. Jaju, alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, in February 2012, her son underwent an MRI of the brain that was reviewed by Jaju. The suit states Jaju did not note any abnormal findings in the radiology report. The suit states the report depicted a mass.
