JACKSON LEWIS: Jackson Lewis Adds Depth to Litigation Team with Karen R. Glickstein in Kansas City Region

Jackson Lewis LLP issued the following announcement on Jan. 3.

Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Karen R. Glickstein has joined the firm’s Overland Park office as a Principal. Ms. Glickstein joins the firm from Polsinelli PC, where she was a Shareholder. She has more than 25 years of experience in the full spectrum of labor and employment law matters.

"Karen is a talented attorney, and we are thrilled she decided to join Jackson Lewis,” said Brian J. Christensen. “She has strong ties to businesses in the Kansas City area and across Missouri and Kansas, earning her a well-deserved reputation for delivering outstanding results for employers facing litigation and trial.”

Ms. Glickstein has experience in matters including discrimination and harassment, FMLA violations, USERRA, and whistleblower claims. In addition to providing everyday counseling to clients, she has tried several employment matters to jury verdict and has extensive experience working with clients on issues relating to non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. She has also defended clients in EEOC class actions. Karen has tried cases to both judges and juries, as well as in arbitration forums, across the country.

Ms. Glickstein has experience in human resources counseling, as well as conducting both internal and independent investigations. She works with large national and smaller clients on risk management and litigation matters. Ms. Glickstein is a frequent writer and speaker on the legal implications of social media and its impact on employers.

Jackson Lewis also recently welcomed Associate Amanda E. Sisney to the firm’s Overland Park office. Ms. Sisney specializes in representing businesses in handling all phases of employment disputes and has extensive e-discovery experience. She is President of the Hispanic Bar Association of Greater Kansas City and was selected as a winner of the 2018 Up & Coming Award by Missouri Lawyers Weekly.

Ms. Glickstein earned her A.B. from Smith College and her J.D. from Northwestern University.
