CHICAGO – A widower alleges a Richton Park long-term care nursing facility failed to protect his late wife from developing pressure sores.

Ronald Bailey, as independent administrator of the estate of Linda Bailey, filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in Cook County Circuit Court against Glenshire Nursing & Rehab Center, over alleged violation of the Nursing Home Care Act.

According to the complaint, in March 2017, Linda Bailey was admitted to defendants' nursing home and rehabilitative services. The suit states while a resident there, she developed pressure ulcers, all of which caused a deterioration in her physical and mental condition. The suit states she died in August 2017.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to provide properly supervised nursing and personal care.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks more than $50,000. He is represented by David M. Resis and Annabelle L. Borota of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates PC in Chicago.
