POLSINELLI PAC: Polsinelli Adds Health Care Attorney in Chicago, Continues Growth

Partnership

Polsinelli PAC issued the following announcement on Jan. 15.

Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli welcomes Shareholder Jeanna Palmer Gunville to its national Health Care Department.

Based in Chicago, Gunville counsels hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, post-acute care providers and provider organizations on transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, provider alignment and clinical integration, and regulatory compliance issues.

Gunville focuses her practice on structuring, negotiating and completing healthcare transactions, with a special focus on helping clients take advantage of evolving patient care and payment models through strategic partnerships.  She also has extensive experience supporting healthcare clients’ cost-savings initiatives, like outsourcing and purchased services arrangements.

“Jeanna’s experience advising clients on strategic partnerships is particularly important for health care providers in today’s dynamic marketplace,” said Matt Murer, chair of the firm’s Health Care Department.  “Jeanna is a tremendous resource for health care companies seeking to execute a pivot towards pay for quality and a diversified care continuum.”

Polsinelli was ranked No. 1 in AHLA’s 2018 Top Honors report for the size of its membership within the organization. And, it is the nation’s second-largest health care law firm, according to Modern Healthcare’s 2018 Healthcare Law Firm Survey.

“I am excited to join Polsinelli’s outstanding team of health care lawyers,” Gunville said. “The firm’s nationwide and full-service capabilities enable me to offer services and strategic assistance on a full range of legal and business issues.  More than that, the firm combines this expertise with an innovative mindset and is committed to delivering legal services in a way that aligns with clients’ expectations and business objectives.”

“We’re pleased to have Jeanna as part of our team here in Chicago,” said Mary Clare Bonaccorsi, managing partner of Polsinelli’s Chicago office and chair of the firm’s national Health Care Litigation practice. “Our clients benefit from the deep bench of talent we have here in so many areas of practice, from litigation and white-collar work to data privacy, finance, employment and intellectual property issues.” Polsinelli’s Health Care practice consists of 175 attorneys across the country, as well as 30 in the firm’s Chicago office.

The great variety of practice areas has made it necessary for the firm to continue to add talented health care attorneys such as Gunville. Her unique background in transactional health care matters will help serve the Chicago office’s growing national merger and acquisition and health care capabilities.

Gunville graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and received her bachelor’s degree cum laude from the University of Notre Dame.
