CHICAGO — A resident is suing Lemont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center LLC, a long-term care facility, citing alleged negligence.

Richard Penn filed a complaint on Jan. 17 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging he became sick and sustained severe and permanent injuries as a result of the negligence of the defendants in providing adequate care, supervision and oversight while he lived in their nursing home March-May 2017.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to properly administer, monitor and remove plaintiff's catheter.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages, attorney fees, costs of suit, and further relief. He is represented by Scott Pyles of Rathbun, Cservenyak & Kozol LLC in Mokena.

The Cook County Circuit Court Case No. is 19-L-579.
