CHICAGO — A woman is suing Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, citing alleged negligence, after she allegedly was injured when she tripped and fell.
Rosie Campbell filed a complaint on Jan. 16 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendant breached its duty to maintain premises in a reasonably safe condition.
According to the complaint, in August 2018, Rosie Campbell tripped and fell in the front entrance, sustaining injuries.
The plaintiff alleges the defendant permitted and allowed a tripping mechanism to exist on or near an area intended as an entryway; failed to repair, maintain and inspect all areas intended as entryways; and failed to maintain a safe means of entrance and exit.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks more than $50,000, plus costs of bringing the lawsuit. She is represented by Costello, McMahon and Burke Ltd. in Chicago.
The Cook County Circuit Court Case No. is 19-L-000551.
