BENESCH LAW: Jennifer Stapleton Joins Benesch

Partnership

Benesch Law issued the following announcement on Feb. 1.

As Benesch continues its commitment to recruiting top-notch legal talent from around the nation, the firm is pleased to announce that Jennifer Stapleton has joined the firm as a partner in the Corporate & Securities Practice Group.

Jennifer has 15 years of experience as a lead lawyer and strategic partner, using sound legal judgment, smart business acumen, and deep operational expertise to counsel public and privately held companies, large private equity platforms, and venture capital firms through complex, high stakes, multidimensional business transactions.

“I am excited about Jennifer joining the team of corporate attorneys we are building here at Benesch,” said Megan Mehalko, Co-Chair of the Corporate & Securities Practice Group. “We are committed to recruiting excellent attorneys who will have an immediate positive impact for our clients, and the addition of Jennifer certainly adds to the tremendous bench strength we have already cultivated.”

Jennifer’s expertise includes advising and leading cross-functional in-house, client, and third-party teams in structuring, negotiating, and executing high-profile international mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, financings, restructurings, bankruptcy proceedings, venture capital initiatives and equity co-investments for U.S. and international clients. Her experience spans numerous industries including financial technology, healthcare, real estate, manufacturing, search funds, and early-stage, high-growth companies where she advises on the full life cycle of formation, capitalization, and acquisition through operation and ultimate exit.

Jennifer received her J.D., cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2004 and her B.S., with honors, from Duke University in 2001. Prior to joining Benesch, Jennifer worked in one of the largest international law firms in the U.S.
