CHICAGO — An independent estate administrator is suing a long-term care facility, citing alleged violations of the Nursing Home Care Act, Survival Act, and Wrongful Death Act.

Patricia Danko, administrator of the estate of Louis Danko, filed a complaint on Jan. 23 in Cook County Circuit Court against Generations at Elmwood Park, and Generations HC Network LLC, alleging they were negligent in providing care and treatment to Danko.

According to the complaint, Danko was a high risk for the development and deterioration of pressure sores, but he still allegedly suffered from them while a resident at the facility from approximately September 2015 to November 2017. Plaintiff argues this contributed to his death.

The plaintiff seeks more than $50,000. She is represented by Steven Levin and Megan Shore of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court Case No. 2019L000824.
