CHICAGO — A woman is suing village of Skokie, citing alleged negligence.

Joanna Olsen filed a complaint on Feb. 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against the Village of Skokie, alleging she was injured when she tripped and fell on an allegedly raised and uneven portion of sidewalk in front of a residence in the 5200 block of Brown Street.

The plaintiff alleges Skokie failed to remedy the height difference in the adjacent slabs of sidewalk despite receiving complaints and reports about the danger it poses.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and more than $50,000 plus costs of suit. She is represented by Ryan McNulty of Schiff Gorman LLC in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court Case No. 19-L-1704.
