CHICAGO — A woman is suing Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, doctors and other medical professionals, citing alleged medical professional negligence.

Francesca Fiorante filed a complaint on Feb. 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they did not timely diagnose and treat her condition.

According to the complaint, from mid-February to early March 2017, plaintiff was admitted at the hospital for a range of surgeries and other procedures. Fiorante alleges she complained of abdominal pain and continued bleeding following her discharge. The plaintiff alleges the defendants, including the hospital and physicians Charles E. Miller and Kirsten Sasaki improperly evaluated and treated Fiorante's complaints, which she said resulted in two subsequent surgeries.

The plaintiff seeks at least $30,000. She is represented by John Eichler of John F. Eichler and Associates in Westchester.

Cook County Circuit Court Case No. 2019L001708.
