CHICAGO — A patient is suing nursing care facility Alden Estates of Shorewood, citing an alleged violation of the Nursing Home Care Act and negligence.
Richard Adamski filed a complaint on Feb. 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against Alden Estates of Shorewood, and related entities alleging they failed to provide properly supervised nursing and personal care.
According to the complaint, in June 2017, plaintiff was a resident at the facility when he developed pressure ulcers that became infected and required surgery, resulting in the deterioration of his physical and mental condition.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks more than $50,000. He is represented by David Resis and Annabelle Borota of the Law Offices of Steven J. Malman and Associates in Chicago.
