Fox Rothschild LLP issued the following announcement on April 1.

Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce it has appointed new leadership to three of the firm’s departments and offices as well as seven practice groups.

Effective April 1, the following leadership will be in place (newly appointed leaders in bold):

Department Chairs:

“Department leaders, office managing partners and practice group chairs play a pivotal role in helping us plan and execute the firm’s strategic initiatives. Our outgoing leadership has done an outstanding job in that regard,” said Firmwide Managing Partner Mark L. Morris.

Morris noted that the changes are part of standard leadership rotation.

“I am confident that our new leadership will continue to build on our strong commitment to client service throughout our national network of offices,” said Morris.

The new group of department leaders succeed Brett A. Axelrod (Financial Restructuring & Bankruptcy), Michael G. Menkowitz (Financial Restructuring & Bankruptcy) and Jeffrey H. Nicholas (Corporate).

Fishman represents debtors and creditors through the bankruptcy process and in informal, out-of-court workouts. He also offers bankruptcy mediation services to clients in a variety of industries. Fishman previously served as co-chair of the Bankruptcy, Reorganization and Creditors Rights Practice at Shaw Fishman Glantz & Towbin LLC, which merged with Fox in 2018. Fishman will serve as chair of the firm’s Financial Restructuring & Bankruptcy Department.

Simon is a seasoned entertainment attorney with a broad range of experience in film, television and digital media. His clients include film and television companies, financiers, producers, directors, writers, talent and other content providers. Simon will serve as vice-chair alongside Entertainment Department Chair Darrell D. Miller.

Tucci handles a wide variety of corporate matters, both domestic and international, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate finance, joint ventures, insurance and reinsurance transactions. A former member of the firm’s Executive Committee, he serves as chair of the firm's International Practice Group and previously served as co-chair of the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group. Tucci and Douglas J. Zeltt will co-chair the Corporate Department.

The new group of office managing partners succeeds Joseph A. DeMaria (Miami), Donna B. More (Chicago) and Rick Rubin (Denver).

Casey has significant experience in major litigation, helping to resolve disputes through negotiations, litigation and arbitration. He represents owners, developers, general contractors, builder/vendors and design professionals in all aspects of complex construction litigation matters as well as insurance coverage issues arising out of construction claims.

Widman is a seasoned trial attorney with a diverse commercial litigation practice and a particular fluency in bankruptcy litigation. He has experience handling a broad range of business disputes for his clients, including Fortune 500 companies, printing companies, cable operators, venture capital firms, automobile dealers, manufacturers, retailers and hotels.

Zelkowitz represents public and private clients in complex real estate, land use and zoning matters. He is a leader in the business community who serves as general and special counsel to a number of community redevelopment agencies (CRAs) in South Florida. Zelkowitz was previously managing shareholder of Gray Robinson's Miami and Ft. Lauderdale offices and co-chair of the Hospitality Industry Practice Group.

The new practice group leaders succeed Virginia Long (Appellate Law), Mark L. Morris (Hotel Law), David S. Rasner (Family Law), Elizabeth D. Sigety (Franchising & Distribution) and Peter J. Tucci (Mergers & Acquisitions).

Biser represents owners, contractors, developers, architects and engineers, both in the United States and abroad, in all stages of the construction process. She focuses her practice on large, capital-intensive construction projects, with a particular emphasis on drafting and negotiating contracts for complex and unique construction and infrastructure. Biser will serve as co-chair of the Construction Group with Dirk D. Haire and Ronald L. Williams.

Kittay handles mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions and corporate governance issues, including $3.5 billion in private company M&A transactions and more than 100 career Series Seed through Series D, SAFE, and convertible debt venture capital and strategic investor financings for early and growth stage companies. Kittay joins Alison Newman and Timothy J. Scallen as co-chairs of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group.

Kornacki focuses on commercial leasing, lending and borrowing transactions; acquisition and development of real property; and preparation and review of construction agreements. He has significant experience in the industries of retail and office leasing, hospitality, cellular tower leasing, residential development transactions and planned community and condominium formation. Kornacki will serve as chair of the Hotel Law Group.

Leerberg, managing partner of the Raleigh and Wilmington, NC, offices, focuses his practice on helping businesses navigate state and federal litigation and appeals. He leads the Carolinas’ appellate practice team, where his wealth of appellate experience has earned him a designation as a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Appellate Practice.

Levin is a skilled real estate attorney who represents a broad range of commercial landlords, tenants, buyers, sellers and receivership companies. He represents clients in a wide variety of commercial properties in both urban and suburban settings, including shopping centers, office buildings and mixed-use properties. Levin will serve as co-chair of the Retail Industry Group alongside Keith Chrestionson and David F. Faustman.

Piccone is a seasoned trial and appellate lawyer with years of experience in litigation involving business disputes, product liability, insurance, personal injury and torts. Her appellate work has involved insurance coverage, toxic torts, product liability, commercial litigation, trade secrets and breach of fiduciary duty appeals. Leerberg and Piccone join Robert S. Tintner as co-chairs of the Appellate Group.

Tractenberg handles complex business disputes involving intellectual property, licenses, business torts and insolvency issues. His practice centers on developing and protecting the financial and brand equity of franchise companies. He regularly structures new franchise programs, many of which are international. Tractenberg will serve as co-chair of the Franchising & Distribution Group with Eleanor Vaida Gerhards.

Weston, a Certified Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California's Board of Specialization, has more than 30 years of experience representing celebrities and high net worth clients in family law matters, particularly the enforcement of premarital agreements, child support and spousal support, custody and complex property division and business valuation. Weston joins Eric S. Solotoff as co-chair of the Family Law Group.
