Cozen & O'Connor issued the following announcement on April 12.

Danielle Harris and Jennifer Queliz were selected as fellows in the 2019 National Employment Law Council Academy. This is the second consecutive year for Danielle and the first year for Jennifer. The National Employment Law Council (NELC) is charged with the objectives of enriching the minority bar that represents management in the field of labor and employment law, impacting global employment law policy, and promoting ethnic interest in the profession. The NELC conducts a highly competitive process in selecting academy fellows from amongst the pre-eminent employment defense practices across the country.

From April 24-26, 2019 Danielle, Jennifer, and other selected academy fellows will attend lectures and sessions taught by leading trial lawyers and in-house counsel. NELC Academy fellows also interacted with dozens of in-house employment lawyers from companies like Facebook, McDonald’s, Dropbox, CBRE, Abercrombie & Fitch, PepsiCo, JPMorgan Chase, and NBC/Universal.

Danielle earned her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she was a student editor of the Employee Rights and Employment Policy Journal. She received her undergraduate degree in human resource management from Northern Illinois University.

Jennifer received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Fordham University, College at Lincoln Center. While in law school, Jennifer was a member of the Fordham Urban Law Journal and a teaching assistant for Legal Writing.
