Scott Cruz, Member in Clark Hill’s Labor & Employment group, recently appeared on WGN Chicago and WBBM Noon Business Hour Chicago to discuss the recent passing of a bill to legalize recreational marijuana in Illinois, how that will affect employer’s drug policies, and more. Scott explains that under federal law, marijuana is illegal, which is what gives employers the authority to discipline or terminate an employee for working under the influence of marijuana.
