Shook’s Junior Women’s Management Council has presented its 2019 Diversity Sponsor Award to Partner Adrienne Byard, in recognition of her efforts to mentor women and diverse attorneys at the firm.
The award recognizes efforts to give such attorneys opportunities for visibility and interaction with clients, providing “stretch projects” that challenge the attorney to learn and grow, and promoting career development by sharing news of the attorney’s accomplishments and capabilities with senior members of the firm. Sponsors who act as mentors and champions improve Shook’s ability to recruit, retain and advance women and diverse attorneys, fostering diversity and inclusion at the firm and helping it to provide clients with broader insight and perspectives into business challenges.
