CHICAGO — A dispute between two Chicago area corporate executives has led to a lawsuit over allegedly disparaging comments posted on LinkedIn.

According to the Oct. 16 Cook County Circuit Court filing, plaintiff Frank Cucco, CEO of Impact Networking, filed the defamation complaint against defendant Earl Everson, president of Elite Printer Solutions, doing business as Elite Document Solutions. Cucco claims that Everson falsely stated on LinkedIn that Impact "continues to lay off employees" and that Cucco is a "weak bully."

"The false statements of fact published by Everson have damaged the reputation of Frank Cucco and Impact Networking, LLC, lowering each of them in the eyes of the community and deterring the business community from associating with them," the suit alleges. "The false statements of fact impute an inability to perform or a lack of integrity in the duties of employment and the operation of Impact’s business."

Cucco seeks damages of more than $50,000 plus litigation costs. He is represented by Christopher Kearns of Kearns Law Firm P.C.
