Faegre Baker Daniels recently issued the following announcement.

Federal and state legislatures have been busy this year, passing new employment laws and regulations that will impact employers in 2020 and beyond. Join us for an interactive discussion on these new laws, including:

The U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) final regulations on salary thresholds for exempt employees.

Marijuana and CBD in the workplace, including Illinois’ recreational marijuana law.

Updates on sexual harassment legislation, including the new Illinois Workplace Transparency Act.

Independent contractor limitations under state law.

We will discuss these topics and more, along with practical tips on how employers can prepare as changes go into effect in 2020

An application for standard Illinois CLE credit will be submitted. The program will also be submitted to the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) for continuing education credit
