CHUHAK & TECSON PC: Francisco Connell honored as Crain's Chicago Business "Notable Minority Executive in Accounting, Consulting & Law"

Award

Chuhak & Tecson, P.C. issued the following announcement on Dec. 16.

Chuhak & Tecson, P.C. is proud to announce that Crain’s Chicago Business is honoring Francisco (Cisco) Connell as one of their “Notable Minority Executives in Accounting, Consulting & Law.”

This impressive group of senior-level executives is honored for their leadership skills, the mentorship of other professionals in their respective fields and for the significant ways they give back to their communities. Each “Notable Minority Executive in Accounting, Consulting & Law” profile reveals a personal story of their professional journey and, oftentimes, where they began is a stark contrast to where they are now.

“After Cisco’s initial career as a Chicago police officer, transitioning from the world of the criminal justice system to civil litigation is not natural,” said Mitchell Weinstein, president of Chuhak & Tecson. “His journey took a lot of hard work, fortunate opportunities and mentoring by others that all has led him to his leadership position as our firm’s Banking Practice Group Leader.”

Francisco Connell is a principal and the leader of Chuhak & Tecson’s Banking practice group. He focuses his practice on transactional matters and litigation for commercial and banking clients. He advises small and midsized businesses on a variety of legal issues, including entity formation, real estate acquisitions and leases, intellectual property and contracts. Cisco also represents lenders in bankruptcy, creditors’ rights cases and complex commercial workouts, and can often be found in court advocating on behalf of his clients. Recognizing that litigation can be a costly endeavor, he takes a cost/benefit analysis into consideration for each client and makes it a point to set realistic expectations throughout the legal process.
