TABET DIVITO & ROTHSTEIN: Patent Trial Attorney Brad Lyerla Jumps to Litigation Boutique Tabet DiVito & Rothstein

Courtroom

Tabet DiVito & Rothstein LLC recently issued the following announcement:

CHICAGO -- Nationally recognized intellectual property trial attorney Brad Lyerla, who specializes in patent litigation and trial work, has moved to Chicago-based litigation boutique Tabet DiVito & Rothstein LLC, where he is a partner.

Lyerla represents a wide variety of clients involved in various technologies, including life sciences, applied mathematics, communications, software, computing, food science, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals.

Lyerla regularly speaks and publishes on issues in patent and trade secret litigation. He is Editor-in-Chief and a Principal Author of Antitrust Issues in Intellectual Property Law, a book published by the ABA in May 2016.  He was a member of the advisory committee of lawyers and judges in the Northern District of Illinois who wrote the local rules for patent litigation now adopted by that court. He is a contributing author to Patent Claim Construction in the Federal Circuit published by West. He was editor in chief of the ABA publication Intellectual Property Litigation for 15 years and served on its editorial board until 2019.

“Brad is a top patent trial attorney who fits perfectly into our firm,” noted retired judge Gino DiVito, co-founder of the firm.  “An excellent lawyer and person, with a strong commitment to our profession and the community, he is a significant addition to our intellectual property practice.”

Lyerla was formerly a partner and national co-head of the patent litigation practice at Jenner & Block LLP.  “I will always treasure my time at Jenner & Block, which is at the very top in Big Law, but Tabet DiVito is an enormously exciting all-litigation boutique with many new opportunities,” Lyerla says.  “I have known some of the partners at Tabet DiVito for more than 30 years, and have witnessed their creation of a law firm with top talent, flexible billing arrangements, and cutting-edge efficiencies.”
