Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym Ltd. issued the following announcement on Jan. 16.

We are starting the new decade off right by watching our team grow in number and talent. Last year, three incredibly talented associate attorneys joined our team: Emily Brown, Matthew Novaria and Justin Tresnowski. As 2020 begins, we are very pleased to announce the arrival of another outstanding attorney. Margaret Truesdale has joined our Complex Litigation, Civil Rights and Employment practices. Prior to joining the firm, Margaret clerked for Honorable Judge Diane Sykes at the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Margaret graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where she served as the Senior Notes Editor on the Northwestern University Law Review, participated in the Bluhm Legal Clinic’s Center on Wrongful Convictions, and founded the first law school chapter of the Collaboration for Justice, a systemic justice reform group. During law school, Ms. Truesdale interned at the Federal Defender Program in Chicago and worked as a research assistant, supervising the translation of academic articles on juries from English to Spanish.

Margaret has a long history of public service, including working for two years as a Teach for America instructor in Phoenix, Arizona and providing English training to public school children in Madrid, Spain. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Chicago’s comedy scene, trying out new recipes, and most of all, spending quality time with family and friends.

We welcome our new attorneys with great pride and look forward to seeing them lead the way to future success. Cheers to a new decade of endless possibilities!
