ARNSTEIN & LEHR LLP: Cybersecurity and Privacy Chair Participates in The Sedona Conference Working Group on Data Security and Privacy Liability

Arnstein and Lehr LLP issued the following announcement on Jan. 23.

Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr, a full-service law firm with over 400 attorneys across 16 offices,announced that the Firm's Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice Chair April Doss was selected to serve on The Sedona Conference Working Group on Data Security and Privacy Liability (WG11). WG11 was formed to "help organizations prepare for and respond to data breaches, and assist with questions of legal liability and damages."

As part of WG11, April served as an editor for the recently published Incident Response Guide. The Guide is a comprehensive resource for organizations seeking to prepare and implement an incident response plan. In addition, the Guide explains the information that drives the development of such a successful plan.

April advises clients across industry sectors on cybersecurity and privacy matters. She spent over a decade at the National Security Agency, where she was Associate General Counsel for Intelligence Law. April also served as Senior Minority Counsel for the Russia Investigation in the United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. Prior to her federal service, April worked as a public defender, civil litigator, and in-house counsel to a private college.
