Greenberg Traurig issued the following announcement on March 9.
Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced the elevation of Rachel B. Cohen-Deano, Julia Riedel Emfinger, and Brian R. Singer to shareholder in the firm’s Chicago office.
“Rachel, Julia, and Brian are outstanding attorneys and represent the bright future of Greenberg Traurig,” said Chicago Co-Managing Shareholders John F. Gibbons and Rita M. Powers in a joint statement. “We could not be prouder of them. We congratulate them on their achievements and wish them continued success in their new roles.”
Cohen-Deano, a member of the Corporate Practice, focuses on forming private equity, distressed debt, venture capital and special strategy investment funds, and structuring and negotiating complex corporate transactions. In addition, she represents a broad range of clients in connection with investments in private funds.
Emfinger, a member of the Litigation Practice, focuses on real estate litigation. She also represents clients in labor and employment litigation, products liability disputes, and bankruptcy litigation, as well as a wide range of complex business litigation, arbitration, mediation, and trials in both state and federal courts.
Singer, a member of the Corporate Practice, represents private equity sponsors in connection with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, restructurings, and other transactional matters.
Firmwide, Greenberg Traurig announced the elevation of 44 attorneys to shareholder. The new shareholders span 22 offices and 13 practice areas. The firm also announced the elevation to of counsel and counsel of 34 attorneys from 18 offices, practicing in 11 areas of law. In addition, the firm reported a sixth consecutive year of record revenue – more than USD $1.64 billion.
