Jones Day issued the following announcement on July 9.
Samantha Woo, an associate in Jones Day's Labor & Employment Practice, was appointed Co-Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association.
The Labor & Employment Law Committee is concerned with all legal issues arising from employment relationships, as well as practices and procedures in all forums where employment issues are resolved.
Ms. Woo focuses her practice on the representation of employers in litigation matters as well as labor management relations issues. She also counsels clients in connection with labor and employment issues that arise in mergers and acquisitions and other business transactions.
In addition to her role as Co-Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association, Ms. Woo is a member of the board of directors of the National Employment Law Council and co-chair of its Academy. Ms. Woo has been named a "Rising Star" by both Legal 500 United States (2019-2020) and Illinois Super Lawyers (2016-2020).
