Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP issued the following announcement on Aug. 17.
The Illinois Legal Aid Online (ILAO) has selected partner Liisa Thomas as this year’s “Legacy Award” recipient. The award honors individuals and entities who have made a lifelong commitment to ILAO in the furtherance of its mission of providing legal information and services to people in need.
Liisa is a former ILAO Board Chair who served as a Director for 10 years. She led ILAO through a strategic planning process which resulted in substantially improved board governance, improvements which continue to benefit ILAO long after her tenure.
The award will be presented during ILAO’s “The Light in the Night” virtual event on Tuesday, October 6.
