Cozen O'Connor issued the following announcement on Oct. 12.

Chicago attorney Jenny Goltz,  a member of Cozen O’Connor’s national Labor and Employment Department, has been named Co-Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Labor and Employment Law Section on Technology in the Practice and Workplace Committee.

She previously served as the programming chair for the ABA’s Annual Symposium on Technology in the Workplace, where she both led the event and was a contributor.

Goltz has a passion for technology and has, for over a decade, served as a thought leader for her colleagues on technology issues both with regard to the practice of law, as well as the intersection of technology and labor and employment law from a substantive standpoint. She serves as one of the chairs of Cozen O’Connor’s Labor & Employment Department Innovation Committee and its firmwide Technology Committee.  Goltz is often sought out by her peers and the legal press for her perspectives on technology in the law.  She also regularly writes and speaks on the topic.

In her practice, Goltz represents management’s labor and employment interests for a diverse client base of employers in the technology, finance, higher education, health care, and manufacturing industries, among others. In addition to litigating technology-specific issues such as BIPA litigation, she litigates the full spectrum of employment cases, such as discrimination, harassment and retaliation matters, wage and hour class actions, biometric privacy class actions, restrictive covenant disputes, and a myriad of others in both state and federal court. Goltz also regularly handles charges and lawsuits before administrative agencies and defends management in labor arbitrations.

Goltz earned her law degree from the University of Illinois (J.D., magna cum laude, 2006) and her B.A. degree from the University of Michigan in 2003, where she was named a James B. Angell Scholar multiple times.
